National Safety Stand-Down Week

Did you know that, among workplace injuries, falls from heights are the most fatal? According to OSHA, this single issue is responsible for over 35 percent of all fatal workplace accidents, though not all employers fully educate workers about their risks.
National Safety Stand-Down Week, June 2nd – 6th, aims to encourage employers to discuss workplace safety with workers. With information provided during this week, OSHA and partnering organizations including the Center for Construction Research and Training, the American Society of Safety Engineers, and the National Safety Council, hope to greatly reduce falls and other workplace safety concerns.
Workers’ Compensation
Workers’ compensation is a no-fault insurance program intended to help injured workers get back on their feet. However, “no-fault” should not be mistaken for “no-problems,” as injured workers often face obstacles when seeking this benefit.
The Maryland worker’s compensation attorneys at Cohen & Dwin understand the difficulties injured workers face. We are here to take your case and fight for your rights, helping secure the compensation you are entitled to.
If you live in Maryland and have been injured on the Job, please contact Cohen & Dwin, P.A. to schedule a free consultation at one of our several office locations. If your injury makes travel difficult, one of our Maryland workers’ compensation attorneys will be happy to come to you.
